This isn’t just wedding stationery - it’s the first chapter of your wedding story. Every design reflects who you are, not just what you like.

From the deep blue of the shutters on your venue in Tuscany, to a nod to the city where you first met, a pattern inspired by your favourite artist, or the wildflowers that remind you of home - every detail has meaning.

1. The first hello

Fill out my contact form with a few details about your wedding and what you're looking for - whether that’s custom invitations, save the dates, or on-the-day stationery.

2. Getting to know you

We’ll chat via email or a free video consultation. I’ll get a feel for your style, story, and vision - even if you don’t have an exact idea yet, that's where I work my magic and help shape your story into something extraordinary.

3. The brief

We'll complete a short briefing form with key details like your wedding date, venue, quantities, and any special touches you’d love to include to give me all the inspiration needed to create your original designs with personalised details.

4. Your personalised proposal

Based on the collection that best suits your needs, I’ll provide a tailored quote covering design, illustration, and printing costs. You can explore my bespoke wedding stationery collections here to see what fits your vision best.

5. The concept

I’ll create a mood board and concept sketch to bring your unique vision to life - thoughtfully designed, deeply personal, and a true reflection of your story. Once we’ve refined the direction together, I’ll secure your slot in my diary and begin crafting your personality-packed stationery suite, completing it in a week.

6. The design week

This is where the real magic happens. I’ll start painting the illustrations for your stationery with thoughtful details, and then designing each piece of stationery, ensuring the entire suite feels like an extension of your love story.

7. Your first look

You’ll receive your first draft for review. Two rounds of refinements to text and positioning of artwork are included to make sure everything is just right before the end of the week.

8. Print & delivery

I manage the entire process from concept to delivery. So, once approved, your stationery suite is professionally printed, beautifully packaged, and sent to you, ready to be shared with your guests or displayed on your wedding day - how exciting!

Bespoke Wedding Stationery: FAQs

After our initial call, I will provide you with a tailored quote depending on both the design collection you choose and your printing specifications - including quantities, finishes, and materials. Every step, from initial concept to printing and final delivery, is expertly managed for you, ensuring a seamless, stress-free experience.


I offer three bespoke stationery collections, each crafted to reflect your story and style:


  • The Announcement Collection
  • The Statement Collection
  • The Masterpiece


Full details of what's included in each collection can be found here and there is a minimum spend of £500 for bespoke design.


Your wedding stationery is more than just an invite - it’s a work of art, designed to be framed, not forgotten. Let’s create something iconic.


I specialise in creating bespoke wedding stationery that’s as unique as your love story. I mainly offer:


  • Invitations
  • Save the Dates
  • On-the-day stationery (i.e. menus, order of service booklets, place names, favour labels, table plans, welcome signage, and more)
     

Beyond the essentials, your bespoke suite can also include envelope liners, cocktail hour menus, RSVP cards, details cards, reserved signs, thank you cards, vow books, and guest book covers.


If you have something unique in mind, don’t hesitate to reach out! I absolutely love collaborating on anything a little out of the ordinary - the more creative, the better! 


Creating bespoke wedding stationery is a deeply personal process, and I want to ensure we have the time to bring your vision to life with care and creativity. Because of this, I take on only 3-4 bespoke suites per month, with slots booked on a first-come, first-served basis.


Once we’ve agreed on your design concept, I’ll schedule your dedicated design week in my diary. During this time, I’ll craft your stationery, and be in touch with you throughout to incorporate two rounds of refinements for any text or layout adjustments. By the end of the week, your designs will be finalised and ready for print.


For The Statement Collection and The Masterpiece, if you don’t have all the details for your on-the-day stationery just yet, that’s no problem. I’ll create your artwork upfront, then we’ll revisit and finalise those pieces 3-4 months before your wedding when all the details are set.


Need your stationery sooner? Let’s chat - I’ll always do my best to accommodate tighter timelines (please note, a priority service fee may apply).


The sooner, the better! This gives us plenty of time to get you booked in, explore your ideas and ensure your stationery is exactly as you’ve envisioned. My general recommendation is that once you've secured your venue, the next chapter in your wedding story is your stationery.


If you're looking to make your wedding eco friendly, look no further. All of my packaging is fully recycled and plastic free and I only print on luxury, recycled or FSC certified card (which is fully recyclable). I also offer digital save the dates and invitations if you're really looking to cut the carbon footprint of your big day whilst still having stunning stationery.


All illustrations and artwork are owned by the artist and may be used in marketing materials. For anything bespoke, this will be unique to you. This is so that each piece acts as a special keepsake and unique reminder of your special day.


Due to the custom nature of my wedding stationery, all sales are final and deposits non-refundable. Alex Hinton Design cannot offer returns, refunds, or exchanges in the event of cancellations or date changes.
