I've always loved creating & designing, ever since I can remember.

So, after a few years spent in the corporate world, I found my way back to my paintbrushes during the first COVID lockdown in 2020 (remember that?!). 

I hand-painted my own wedding invitations. Because I wanted something that felt like us - something that told our story in a way no off-the-shelf design ever could.

After my printers asked to buy the design, & friends commissioned me to design their own, I realised that little Alex’s dream of running her own business & telling stories through art could be a reality. 

So in 2022, I launched Alex Hinton Design - where bespoke, hand-painted wedding stationery & illustration meets storytelling. For stylish, sentimental souls who live for the details & refuse to blend in. 

Since then, I’ve had the absolute joy of designing personal, artistic wedding stationery for couples & hand-painted illustrations for brands across the UK (& beyond!) - each piece unique, meaningful and treasured forever.

Today, every piece begins with your story and is painted by hand in my studio using a combination of ink & watercolour, in my own distinctive style.

I truly believe that in a world of AI-generated design, original, hand-crafted artwork has a different kind of power. It’s human, it’s thoughtful, & most importantly, it tells a story.
